The Alsace Wine Route

A unique itinerary in France
Inaugurated in 1953, the Alsace Wine Route is one of the oldest Wine Routes in France. Throughout the year it offers its visitors, neophytes or connoisseurs, many activities related to wine and vineyards.

First a popular tourist rally, it has become one of the jewels of Alsace! It winds over 170 km , from north to south of the region and crosses 70 wine-growing villages which are reputed to be the most beautiful villages in Alsace . Many visitors marvel at the fortified towns and villages of Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Andlau, Obernai…

The Alsace Wine Route is also a popular gathering place. From April to October, the villages take turns organizing wine and harvest festivals .

Folkloric events, processions and tastings follow one another all day, even all night, in a lively and generous atmosphere!
